1309 Appleby Line. Farmhouse 1896
This is the last remaining home in Appleby Village. Due to trespassing problems and vandalism the barn on the property became an insurance liability and was torn down in 2000 at a cost of almost $2,000.00. The beams were taken away but the rubble stone walls were not.
The farm home was built by the Slater family of Waterdown. The original farm extended all the way to Upper Middle Road. It is located on the NE corner of Appleby Line and Mainway.
