From Burlington - 4 km. Go North on Brant Street. Turn left on to the North Service Road. Turn right on King Road. Pass the Bayview Park entrance and the road makes a sharp turn to the right. After approximately 200 metres from Bayview Park you have reached the top of the Magnetic Hill. If it is safe to do so turn the car around at the Ontario Hydro rightaway. There is a "Motorized Vehicles Prohibited" sign at the entrance. You are now facing South and at the Bottom of the Magnetic Hill.
From Waterdown - 4.5 km. Go South on Mill street (towards Lake Ontario). Down under the RR tracks, up the steep hill and almost immediately turn left on Mountain Brow Road. Coming down the Niagara Escarpment, Mountain Brow Road becomes King Road. At the bottom of the Escarpment you will pass some houses on the left. A few hundred metres further you will see the Ontario Hydro overhead power supply lines and towers. Stop at the service entrance to the Hydro rightaway. There is a "Motorized Vehicles Prohibited" sign at the entrance. You are now parked at the bottom of the Magnetic Hill. From Hamilton - 12 km. Take York Road and Plains Road or Hwy. 403 to Burlington. Turn left on Waterdown Road. Turn right on to the North Service Road. Turn left on King Road. Now follow Burlington direction (in italics). From Toronto - 55 km. (QEW) Exit at Brant street (exit 101). Turn right on Brant Street and go immediately to the far left lane to make a left turn on to the North Service Road. Turn right on King Road. Now follow Burlington direction (in italics). From Toronto - 55 km. (Toll Road 407) Exit at Dundas Street (Hwy. 5). Turn right on Dundas Street. Turn left on Brant Street. Make a right turn on to the North Service Road. Turn right on King Road. Now follow Burlington direction (in italics). From Niagara Falls - 95 km. Take the QEW to Toronto. In Burlington exit at North Shore Boulevard (exit 97) and turn left on the North Shore Boulevard. Turn right on King Road (flashing light, 40 km/hr. traffic sign and curved arrow to the right). Now follow Burlington direction (in italics). |
