Fort Saskatchewan Gaol. Alberta. (1914 - 1988?)
Sponsor:

Former Location: Fort Saskatchewan Prison Compound
Tower Information
(08-05)
The water tower was completed late Oct, 1914. It served both the gaol and
the community until 1956 at which time the town built its own. The tower caught fire on Apr 27, 1971 accidentally during an acetylene welding operation. It had been insulated with shavings which were covered with shingles making it easily flammable. The tower was likely used by the gaol until it closed in 1988.
