Tower Location
It has been moved and is now located on private property adjacent to Coldwater Road.
Tower Information and Photo Credit
The water tower is the last surviving water tower on the Kettle Valley Railroad (KVR). The first train ran on the railway in 1915; the last one in 1989. The tower has a very unique feature. It has two spouts on it because at this location two railroads actually met. The KVR from Merritt was serviced one side of the tower and the Vancouver, Victoria & Eastern Railway (VV&E) on the other side. The old railbed is now part of the Trans Canada Trail.
