Area Information: Plattsville was named in 1855 after its founder, Samuel Platts. He came to Canada in 1844. Mr. Platt was the first postmaster and also served as Justice of the Peace for many years.
The house is owned by the Township of Blandford-Blenheim. According to the tennant the house as well as the standpipe will be demolished to make room for a new water tower.
